GMAC Smart Buy
GMAC's SmartBuy auto loan allow many hummer enthusiasts to drive in the ultimate SUV dream car. SmartBuy behaves like a lease where your monthly payments can be lower than traditional auto financing programs. However, with SmartBuy you own the title to the vehicle. A balloon payment is due at the end of the Smart Buy term with the option to refinance the balance subject to credit approval (take advantage of Free Credit Checks) in some states, or return the vehicle (and pay a disposal fee and any excess mileage and wear charges).
Using traditional financing, your monthly payments are paying for the whole vehicle – that can put a dent in your budget.

Drive a new vehicle more often
Your HUMMER will be in its best conditions brand new. A HUMMER SmartBuy lease allows you the chance to get into a new hummer SUV at the end of every Smart Buy lease term.
Financial options at the end of your lease
GMAC offers several options at the end of each HUMMER SmartBuy vehicle. You can:
- Return your Hummer and pay disposal fees (includes extra miles and excess wear charges)
- Pay the entire final balloon payment
- Refinance the balloon balance and keep your car
- Sell your HUMMER and keep any profit after paying the balance
Lower monthly payments
Payments are based on the portion of the vehicle you expect to use (plus finance charges), and since SmartBuy is structured like a lease, regular monthly payments (excluding the balloon payment) are usually lower than traditional financing.
